July 15, 2007—During a reading at Malaprops Bookstore & Café in Asheville, NC, the Southern Appalachian Cooperative (SAWC) unveiled the new Pine Mountain Sand & Gravel. The twelfth volume of SAWC’s literary magazine of contemporary Appalachian literature explores the theme “Looking Back.” It is dedicated to the late Rita Sizemore Riddle.
